Blood Lab Specialist Program
Whether you’re interested in working in a hospital, mobile lab, patient laboratory, doctor’s office or anywhere else in the medical field, a career as a Blood Lab Specialist can make it a reality. In Larock Academy’s 15-week program, you can learn the skills you need to work in this important field, including performing blood and other specimen collection, counting red and white blood cells and ensuring proper specimen handling.
Phlebotomy Technician Plus+ Program
Phlebotomy is one of the fastest-growing healthcare careers. At the Larock Healthcare Academy’s Phlebotomy Technician program, you can learn the skills to get started in this field. Hands-on practice will help you master the proper specimen collection techniques for prevention, testing, and diagnosis of diseases. You’ll also learn how to perform routine venipunctures, dermal sticks and winged infusion sets in between 40 and 100 blood draws.
Comprehensive Curriculum
In addition to advanced lab skills, the program covers essential clinical fundamentals such as infection control, universal precautions, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, quality assurance, and specimen handling protocols.
Advanced Laboratory Training
Learn detailed blood smear slide preparation, precise microscopic observation, safe incubator-based sample preparation, and accurate urine evaluations & advanced blood typing.
Certification & Career-Ready
Receive a certificate of completion and become eligible for National Certification through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
